Just so you know... when you'll notice a Father Christmas sitting on a chair in the local mall, it might have never crossed your mind that is't a hard and dangerous job of many people that leads to these short moments of joy and happiness that you and your children experience. Fortunately the Woodpecker Film has taken the risk and the courage to document the process for you. But beware! Precautions must be taken...

So Saturday was my birthday. I'd rather not think about which one (it was round). And today I've gotten a little late email from my sister with 2 photo's of a neat hardware she's found on the Internet ... (I think she actually got them through email) I was tempted to post it in "Gadgets & Electronics" category, but finally decided against... I think they actually pre-date their era and may be too revolutionary for our times. We all know what happens to products like that developed by...

Today is the 60th anniversary of liberation of the Auschwitz concentation camp. Probably the last round anniversary with so many witnesses still alive. Auschwitz was a German Nazzis' camp of mass murder which took the death toll of about 1.5 million people. Most of them were Jews from Poland and surrounding countries, Poles, Gypsies and homosexuals and Soviet POWs. The leaders of 30 countries gather in Krakow, POLAND (near Oswiecim - polish name for German Auschwitz) today to honor the death ...

Since I have received a number of requests for comments on how to do this and was alwas forced to redirect them to Mike, I've decided to dig into the subject and write an article about. You will find the article together with the rest of my WindowBlinds (and some other Stardock software) tips in my Blog Make sure not to overloook the WindowBlinds Shell Animation library after you create them

If this blog appears on the stardockblog, it means that the sub-categories work. Pat fixed the subtitle problem so I have my subtitle retrieved ok now. Not sure why I cannot EditPost if the post is in , the server returns error 500 - I may be giving pat something wrong about the categories - looking into that now. One thing we lack is the categories on GetPost. For the moment I can live with that since they appear in GetRecentPosts. Also if thy are subcategories I need a full...

I've bought a camera (a nice Minolta Dimage A2) recently and ever since then I've been on a quest for a perfect software for managing the hundreds of photos I now take every week. Photoshop Album is really the closest to perfection I could find so far, but it also is slow. I mean really slow. It also cannot be bought here in Poland. I liked Picasa for its cool interface, though as you can expect it's not available here as well. I've tried the tryout and really enjoyed the interface. It has its d...

18th of Fedruary 2004 at 0:10 A.M. our family has been enriched with yet another member. By the time she entered our realm, Zuzanna (Susie) Najmanowicz weighted 3400 grams and was 54 centimeters tall. I wonder if tall is a right word here, long perhaps, she won't be standing any time soon . The only trouble I'm into now is the Women/Men ratio for our family now beeing up to 3/1! Having spent 2 nights at home we already cannot imagine living without her any longer. You can reach h...

I had a dream... that WB once supported PNG files. Some time ago I was thinking and consulted our users on Wincustomize messagebards about aiding WB to create 32 bit translucent images. Almost everyone voted for PNG. But WB does not support them and for memory preservation reasons it will not. the basic problem is that TGA support sucks badly in image editors. The only editor that could do it properly was Photoshop. Yes... it WAS. Adobe blew it. Since Adobe removed their support for 32-bit ...

Very important: Recoloring skins does not change the original author's copyright, nor does it make such skin yours. If you recolor a skin it icon that has not been made by yourself you may not upload or share a recolored skin without the original author's permission. Ok, so I'm in the subject of recoloring for quite some time now. I've written a few routines to recolor skins SkinStudio can edit and a few for icons (which it can now edit too), then I thought " Heck why not apply those to ...

I plan to make some more SkinStudio tutorials so that SkinStudio users can browse the blog to look for some insight into more advanced functions or those that are more or less hidden or easilly missed. Well, since Brad created this cool icon tutorial I thought i may as well link it from here to make it the SkinStudio hub

A few days back I found that nice Visual Style. Really easy on eyes - perfect for coding - titlebar not to high - not too many distractions. So i ran it through Skinstudio, added a few mods to make it the nice place to look and shown it to Pas (Snidely Whiplash). He's made a couple of mods himself and I wanted to have them in my skin. But my skin was USF (yes you can apply USF skins to WindowBlinds with Skinstudio) and his was WindowBlinds. But the image format is the same, so i could just copy ...
